Our all-inclusive voluntours give you the opportunity to go behind the scenes with park staff to help preserve Morro Bay’s fragile ecosystems. You will meet quality people, who like you, are eager to leave their personal legacies in this world-renowned natural treasures. Led by Nature Corps staff, these professionally guided voluntours help the State Park Service achieve critical conservation projects that are too large to complete without volunteer support.
Help preserve the nesting habitat of the endangered Snowy Plovers while experiencing the best of the Central Coast. Enjoy exquisite cuisine, fine wine, and VIP tours of famous attractions while you help to restore critical coastal dunes habitat. You’ll be on the beach collecting seeds, replacing invasive vegetation with native plants, and working in the park nursery. After volunteering you’ll have time to explore the beaches of Morro Bay, tour the famed Hearst Castle, and visit San Luis Obispo’s world-famous downtown. You will also go on nature hikes, kayak across the Bay, and enjoy the delectable wines of the Central Coast.

What is included in the voluntour
Program contributions include park entrance fees, camping fees, a tour of Hearst Castle, tickets to the Hearst Castle IMAX Theater, all meals, wine tasting, kayaking rental fees, and Nature Corps t-shirt and water bottle.
Your contributions are tax-deductible and the proceeds from your vacation support our veteran and low-income student volunteers.

Day 1
This afternoon we will gather for a Welcome and Orientation at North Beach Campground just a short walk to the Monarch Butterfly Preserve. After playing on the nearby white sand beaches, we will gather for a savory feast as the sun sets behind the Bay. Before enjoying an exquisite dessert, we will head down to the Pismo Beach Pier and stroll along downtown’s quaint stores and boutiques.
